What Did I Believe on Monday?
A VP of Engineering pushed back on one of my posts a couple of weeks ago, and he was right.
I’d been talking about “AI Engineer” like it was one job, when in reality it’s four or five very different jobs hiding behind the same title, and I was adding to the confusion instead of making it clearer.
That one comment changed how I approached two searches this week, and it also gave me a question I’m going to keep asking myself every Friday:
Some weeks the honest answer is nothing, and those are usually the weeks I spent defending what I already thought instead of learning something new.
I’ve noticed the people I respect most don’t treat changing their minds as a weakness. They treat it as evidence they’re still learning.
I’ll go first. That was mine.
What’s something you changed your mind about this week?
